Silas was my third Siberian to join my little pack. Quite a gentle, sensitive soul, he adores being petted and curling up on my knee on the sofa, not easy on me given his size! He is a joy to have around, always wanting to please and always demanding cuddles, never one to cause trouble within the pack, he is just too laid back!
I had hoped that Silas would enjoy working in harness and be able to run with Indi as a 2 dog team and I have not been disappointed! He too has matured into a fine sled dog, albeit it slowly and has come into his own as a lead dog.
Silas made his debut in the show ring in Spring 2003 and although he did get off to a successful start he soon lost interest in showing once he got into his harness! He is only lightly shown as he gets very bored very easily and is difficult to motivate. His results and critiques can be found here. |
