| Indi was my second Siberian to join my little pack. Completely non confrontational he is a very happy go lucky, loving, sweet, submissive boy and despite him towering over the others and out weighing them by several kg's he is happy to let the others worry about being in charge and remains bottom of the pack. The eternal "puppy sitter" of the pack, he adores youngsters and even with his size is incredibly gentle with them. I had hoped that Kavik would be able to run with him, but it soon became apparent that Indi had such strength, attitude, drive and speed that Kavik struggled to keep up! Indi has matured into a fine sled dog, awesome at races and a very reliable lead dog, he ran single lead throughout the 2004/2005 season. He trained both Silas and Luka to lead and did such a successful job he will now be moved back into wheel to make the most of his strength and size. He thrives on the atmosphere when competing and is completely focused at races, however, in training he becomes bored and distracted, and often lopes along in "cruise control" rather than focusing on the job in hand so it is often difficult to get him in hard racing condition. |

Indi rarely enters the show ring as he really cant see the point of standing still and trotting nicely in circles, which is a shame as he has a beautiful, long reaching, powerful stride but as he is so strong and large he can be rather a handful to handle so is not shown a lot. He did however have some success as a pup and will occasionally enter the ring. You can see his show results here. | |
